Bohemian childrenswear... inspired by far-off places, designed whilst daydreaming, made to treasure...
Having worked in the fashion industry for the past decade, one of my first thoughts upon finding out I was having a baby girl was what fun I would have dressing her! My head filled with memories of the cherished pieces from my childhood; dresses hand-embroidered by my own grandmother and 1970s hand-me downs from my older cousins.
Having always loved bohemian embroidered dresses I set about trying to find some teeny versions for my precious daughters Veda and Bon. Finding bohemian inspired clothing for children was a lot harder than I imagined and it was at this point the idea for ‘Apolina’ was born. With the aim of creating a line of inspiring childrenswear reflecting my own personal style, for like-minded mamas and their beautiful free-spirited babies.
I have built strong relationships with many manufacturers throughout my career but one has become a true friend, it is with his support that Apolina is proudly, and ethically, made in India by the most talented artisan embroiderers.
